All conference participants are invited to bring research prototypes of their choice to the AWEC 2017 Outdoors Exhibition on Wednesday October 4th, 2017.

The time line of the Outdoors Exhibition runs as follows:

8:00 - 12:00

Exhibit Set-Up

13:00 - 14:00

Press Meeting

14:00 - 16:00

Public Exhibition

16:00 - 18:00

Exhibits Removed

No commercial or explicit PR activities are allowed, i.e., no extra posters or sponsor booths (which can be found inside the conference building). Only research prototypes are allowed, which can, however, carry company or university logos.

Please be aware that the transportation, installation, and removal of each exhibit is the exhibitor's responsibility. The conference team will have some people in the plaza to direct, but not enough to serve as additional installers. However, our team is very friendly, and glad to help with small tasks.

After the Outdoors Exhibition, small exhibits can be transfered to an Indoor Display Room (KG II, HS 2121), near to the Exhibition site. This can be done during the deconstruction time of 16:00 - 18:00 on Wednesday.

The safety of the exhibit is the exhibitor's own responsibility. Further the exhibits must be ground-based and stationary, for safety purposes, and must be weatherproof.

It is recommended that exhibitors dress warmly for the October weather, and consider the chance of rain.

The plaza supports even heavy duty trucks and larger trailers, carrying e.g. ground stations, larger kites, or plane prototypes. The overall size of the place is 130m x 130m.

Electricity (standard German outlet, 230 V, 50 Hz) can be made available to the exhibitors.

It is not possible to park at the site, but there is car access across the street from the site. During the time that there are people present at the site (from 8:00 - 12:00), it is probably fairly safe to leave an exhibit in the plaza while parking. However, we cannot guarantee the safety of the exhibit.

If you are concerned about parking a trailered vehicle during the remainder of the conference, there is space available at the Technical Faculty of the university. The Technical Faculty is unfortunately not close to the Exhibition site. Please contact This email address is being protected from spambots.
