Poster Presenters

During the poster sessions, presenters can share their work in a more interactive manner. Poster presenters will give a spotlight talk, and appear at their posters during the poster sessions.

There is a poster prize for the best poster presented at AWEC 2017.

Spotlight Talk

To increase the visibility of the posters presented at AWEC 2017, each poster presenter has a 50 second spotlight talk slot within the plenary sessions of the conference. The poster presenter may provide one (1) slide that will be included in the spotlight presentation.

Spotlight slides must be submitted before Thursday the 28th of September, so that a smooth presentation can be compiled. If no spotlight slide is submitted before this deadline, a copy of the abstract will be used as a spotlight slide. The submitted slide must be a -pdf document. The compiled presentation will have the standard aspect ratio (4:3).

There is no required AWEC template for slides.

Poster

The suggested poster size is A0, and should be printed in advance (by the presenter).

Posters should be put up in the Prometheus Hall between 8:30 - 9:00 on the day of the poster presentation, and taken down within thirty minutes of the end-of-day (17:40 - 18:10 on Thursday, and 17:30 - 18:00 on Friday). Materials for attaching the posters to the poster-walls will be provided.

Digital copies of the posters will be posted online. The digital copy of the poster can be submitted either in an email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. with the subject line "Poster Submission" or through the Poster Upload Form.

There is no required AWEC template for posters.

 

Oral Presenters

Oral presentation slots include a 15 minute presentation, followed by a five (5) minute question period.

Oral presenters should bring their slides and a laptop. VGA and HDMI connectors are available, but apple connectors are not. We also ask that presenters arrange for their own "presentation clickers," if desired.

There is no required AWEC template for slides. The conference projectors support slides in both standard (4:3) and widescreen (16:9) format.

The presentations will be recorded, though presenters can opt out of having their presentation posted online.

Wifi in the conference building is available through the network eduroam, which can be accessed either with a host university account, or through the network (SSID) AWEC, which can be accessd with the password uf-560Jahre.
